Alfatradiol (INN or 17-estradiol trade names Ell-Cranell Alpha and Pantostin in Germany) is a 5-reductase inhibitor used topically for the treatment of androgenic alopecia (hair loss) in men and women. It is a stereoisomer of the endogenous steroid hormone 17-estradiol.
