Application
4-Nitrophenyl -D-galactopyranoside has been used as a substrate to determine -galactosidase activity.
Purpose
For R&D use onlynot for drug household or other uses.
General Description
4-Nitrophenyl -D-galactopyranoside (PNP-alpha-D-Gal) is an artificial substrate of 4-nitrophenyl (pNP) glycopyranoside for detecting -galactosidase activity. The amount of released pNP is significantly increased when 4-Nitrophenyl -D-galactopyranoside is used as substrates.
