Description
Application
Used as a comonomer in polyethylene production to improve flexibility and strength (e.g. LLDPE). Applied as an intermediate in the manufacture of surfactants plasticizers and lubricants.
Purpose
To act as a comonomer in polymer production improving plastic properties like flexibility and strength. To serve as a chemical intermediate in making surfactants lubricants and other industrial chemicals.
General Description
It is a colorless liquid hydrocarbon belonging to the alpha-olefin group with a double bond at the first carbon atom. It is slightly volatile insoluble in water and commonly used as a chemical intermediate.
