General Description
12-Bis(2-aminophenoxy)ethane-NNNN-tetraacetic acid is a highly selective calcium chelating reagent.Effect of microinjected calcium-loaded 12-bis(2-aminophenoxy)ethane-NNNN-tetraacetic acid (CaBAPTA) on cell-to-cell diffusion of carboxyfluorescein has been studied in staminal hairs ofSetcreasea purpurea.[1]It is reported to be a metabolite of 12-bis(2-aminophenoxy)ethane-NNNN-tetraacetic acid tetra(acetoxymethyl ester) (BAPTA-AM) in rat urine.
