General Description
16-Dibromohexane is a chemical compound a derivative of hexane which carries one bromine atom at each terminal chain member .16-dibromohexane can be prepared in a substitution reaction from 16-hexanediol with hydrobromic acid. 16-dibromohexane can be used analogously to 16-diiodohexane for the synthesis of Thiepan.
